Workshop Clowning

Today we had an amazing Clown workshop by Jessica Haines, better known as Mummy Olivia and Juliet. Jess is a South African actress. She frequently works in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi and Kampala. She is married to Richard Ancrum Walker, they have three children. After living in North Africa, Tunisia, for two years they then moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where they lived for 8 years. They are now based in Kampala, Uganda. School trip- The Uganda Wildlife Education Center Zoo

A guide took us around the Uganda wildlife Conservation Education Centre (UWEC). We met the big cats, Lions, Serval and Leopards. The Hyenas, Impalas, African Buffaloes, hogs and Bushbucks roam around the short grass and are easy to be spotted. We have seen the African big 5 members, giraffes, elephants and White Rhinos, before they dip their heads back into enjoying their vegetarian meal. Next to that we have seen snakes in the glass, seals, crocodiles and turtles in the water....

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR !!

Chinese New Year is the Chinese festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. Entry point – I’m Alive!

Today our year twos were celebrating our new IPC unit entry point – I’m Alive! We all brought a plastic container, a handful of stones and potting compost to school. It was a very exciting morning for the children and teachers. We all planted our own fruit tree ( we used our senses to find out which fruit tree we planted). We will take care of our trees everyday and look out for any changes . We will later on bring them...

Last day of term 1!

We had an amazing last day of term 1. Our kindhearted friend Julia surprised us all with a bag full of presents today. She loves to buy gifts for others and took a lot of time making/buying the perfect present for each of her friends & teachers. I think we can all learn from this great example of thoughtfulness.
