Material World Exit Point at Paper Crafts Africa

The year 3 children did some hands on learning at Paper Crafts today!  They had the chance to reflect on their Science learning on how materials are made and saw glass being heated in a furnace. They were also able to get involved with some Art and Technology designing and creating their own picture frames from the recycled paper which they made. The children learnt about the local ladies who set up the business and asked some internationally minded questions....

Quadrilaterals!

We have started off term 2 by investigating shapes in Maths. We have learnt about lots of different quadrilaterals such as parallelograms and trapeziums as well their properties. Entry Point of Material World

This week we started our new IPC unit Material World with a hands on Entry Point. The children got into teams and took apart different everyday objects using screw drivers. Adventuring in Mabira Forest!

As our year 3 entry point for the IPC unit Explorers and Adventurers we took a trip to Mabira forest. We saw all sorts of monkeys, plants, insects and trees and learnt many facts about the forest. Generation Game Exit Point

In Year 3 we have been concluding our IPC unit The Generation Game thinking about healthy living. As our exit point, the children completed a sponsored exercise circuit followed by a fruity feast.
