TEACHERS
Ambrosoli teachers are chosen for their qualifications, experience and commitment
to the overall education of the children. We have an extremely strong teaching
and management team within the school and currently most of our teachers have
a background of multi-cultural and multi-lingual situations. In each class
we have “teaching teams” comprised of a class teacher and assistant
teacher/s. We also employ specialist teachers for ICT, Music, French, PE and
Swimming. We run an ongoing in-service training programme and support staff
to improve and develop their skills on a continual basis.

SCHOOL COMMUNITY
The school community is comprised of students, teachers and parents representing
over 40 nationalities. We have a growing number of Ugandan students and over
30% of our students come from a dual nationality background. Our school community
is very positive, friendly and supportive. We have an active PTA and each
class has its own class parent representative. Currently the school has 215
students and 45 staff members. We are one of the smaller international schools
in Kampala and enjoy an excellent reputation in the wider community.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
Each year we support a variety of community projects and we have a team of
teachers who co-ordinate our community service links. Over the past year
our key project has been aimed at expertise sharing by providing training
in literacy teaching to local teachers and teacher trainers with a focus
on our closest Primary Teacher’s College and local primary schools.
