After couple of lessons working on the most famous Paris monuments, our years 3 presented to the rest of the class their findings about La Concorde, Notre Dame de Paris, Le Pont des Arts, L’Arc de Triomphe et le musée du Louvre. On Wednesday, Ambrosoli hosted the Interschools French Day where some of our year 5 students could meet with their peers from KISU, ISU, Rainbow, Heritage and KCIS. As we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child this year, we organised many activities on this theme: posters, charts, banners, games, song!! For our unit on the Eiffel Tower, years 3 and 4 had the chance to learn how to draw the famous monument with Mercy Kagia, a Kenyan artist who organised exhibitions in Nairobi, Germany, South Corea and Italy. After learning a lot about its construction, we invited the students to a virtual trip on the Eiffel Tower thanks to VR Cardboards. What an amazing experience! They loved it and asked for more!! ...
