Uganda week celebration in year 2

t           This has been one of the most fantastic weeks for both the children and the teachers in year 2. PE – BALL SKILLS

In the past half term in PE we have been working towards developing and improving our ball skills in games and our main focus has been mini basketball. Our learning journey has seen us develop our ball-handling skills in passing, shooting, and dribbling. ALL ABOUT MONEY AND BRIDGES IN YEAR 2.

We had a very exciting week learning about money and bridges.  The children enjoyed building their own bridges out of recycle materials which they had to buy from a store. We also carried out different challenges to test the strongest bridge and wrapped it up with a puppet show. The children also showed different ways of representing equal amounts using coins. Year 2 Criod city

Today all the students in Year Two built a city out of their houses. There was a lot of cooperation, adaptability, inquiry and resilience involved. The students tried, thought, re-tried, made roads etc. When they were happy with the city, we moved it to a science experiment site in the art garden. The buildings will stay there over the weekend and on Monday we shall see which building was waterproof and had good strong foundations. ...

Entry Point- Buildings
