Dear all,
I am sure that many of you either watched or listened to President Museveni’s address to the nation a short while ago.
It will come as no surprise to you that we will, in compliance with his directive, close Ambrosoli International School for the required 30 days.
School will close for the children at 2.45pm tomorrow afternoon ( Thursday 19th March). Giving our teachers Friday morning to make sure that our online learning is organised and ready for the children.
Online learning ( although I know that some have already been going on) will officially begin on Monday 23rd March and will continue for two weeks. More information and details relating to this will be shared with you tomorrow by your class teachers.
Our Easter holiday starts on Saturday 4th April and work will not be set for the children during the holiday.
We anticipate reopening school on Tuesday 21st April for the beginning of Term 3.
Thank you to all of the parents who attended this morning’s Parent Partnership meeting and special thanks to Amy for giving up her time to inform and reassure us about the Coronavirus. The presentation was videoed and we will add this to the ‘School updates’ page of our website once it has finished downloading. It’s taking a while.
I will do my best to keep you updated regularly and will be in school myself for the next two weeks. Do get in touch with your class teacher, IT staff or senior management team if you have any concerns that we can help you with.
My wish was that we made it through to Friday of this week – we almost did!
Well done Team Ambrosoli!
Thank you, once again, for your support.
Best wishes,
Mandy
