As we are waiting for Uganda’s lockdown restrictions to be lifted, we transferred our learning online. Although we do not get to see each other physically, this week we had daily group lessons on Hangout, and each child has had a chance to meet their class teacher individually. Our children wrote letters to each other, in which they practiced using conjunctions, adverbs, and paragraphs. For our IPC entry point, the children made bird feeders – we are now waiting for our bird friends to realize there is a brand new restaurant open in their neighborhood. In Maths we were hunting for, and making 3-D shapes. Everyone has been resilient, creative, and very enthusiastic.
